Exactly five weeks from today, the Fourth Annual International Qur’anic Conference will commence in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event runs from April 14th to 15th at the University of Malaya’s Academy of Islamic Studies. It is organized by the same University’s Centre of Qur’anic Research (CQR) along with the University’s Department of Al-Qur’an and Al-Hadith, Academy of Islamic Studies.
Areas of interest to be covered include interpretation of the Qur’an, laws and patterns in the Qur’an and its miraculous nature, and research methods in Qur’anic studies, among others.
The CQR is the first of its kind in the field of Qur’anic and Islamic studies in Malaysia. The centre was established in February 2010. With this fourth annual conference, the CQR aims to follow through with the recommendations of the past three conferences, to bring together experts and students from throughout the world, and to present and publish scholarly research that will contribute to the field.
