RSVP to IQSA’s 2021 Annual Meeting General Reception!

Denver_MeetingSignThe 2021 IQSA Annual Meeting held in conjunction with the Society of Biblical Literature and American Academy of Religion in San Antonio, Texas from November 19–22 is only one week away! One of the highlights of the IQSA Annual Meeting is its General Reception following the Presidential Address, an opportunity for IQSA members convene over food and drink in a causal setting.

This year’s General Reception will be held in person on Friday, November 19th from 8:00 – 10:00pm offsite. If you are registered for the Annual Meeting and plan on attending the General Reception, please RSVP here. Location and other details will be sent to all registrants via email.

IQSA Annual Meeting Reminders

IQSA AM Banner (2)It’s hard to believe that we are just two months away from the seventh Annual Meeting of the International Qur’anic Studies Association taking place in San Diego, CA from November 22-25, 2019. We are looking forward to another exciting meeting of scholars and friends! Please read the reminders below carefully in preparation for November’s events.

  • IQSA sessions begin one day earlier than in previous years on Friday November 22nd. Please book your travel and accommodation plans accordingly. The full schedule is available online, and print programs will be distributed at the meeting.
  • All are welcome to RSVP to the General Reception following the IQSA Presidential Address (6pm, 23B [Upper Level East] – Convention Center) on Friday, November 22 from 7-9pm. Light refreshments will be provided, and location will be sent to all registered participants in the upcoming weeks.
  • On Saturday November 23rd, graduate students and early career scholars should attend the Graduate Student Luncheon from 11:30am-1:00pm, where they will enjoy lunch with leading scholars in the field and share their own research. You must be an active IQSA student member to register for this event.
  • On Sunday November 24, all IQSA members are invited to attend the General Business Meeting from 11:00 –11:45am in room 23B (Upper Level East) of the  Convention Center.

It’s hard to believe that we are just two months away from the sixth Annual Meeting of the International Qur’anic Studies Association taking place in Denver, CO from November 16-20, 2018. We are looking forward to another exciting meeting of scholars and friends! Please read the reminders below carefully in preparation for November’s events.

  • IQSA sessions begin one day before the SBL/AAR schedule on Friday November 16th. Please book your travel and accommodation plans accordingly. This year’s opening session will be followed by the General Reception at 6:30pm at Uncle Joe’s Hong Kong Bistro. Please RSVP at THIS LINK.
    Note – this year’s meeting will not include a Presidential Address/Keynote
  • On Saturday November 17th, graduate students and early career scholars should attend the Graduate Student Reception, 11:30am-1:00pm, where they will enjoy lunch with leading scholars in the field and share their own research. Please RSVP at THIS LINK or by emailing contact@iqsaweb.org.
  • On Sunday November 18th, all IQSA members are encouraged to attend the 2018 IQSA Business Meeting from 11:30am-12:30pm. See schedule for details.
